USEF Champion of Equine Service Scholarship sponsored by the EQUUS Foundation- USEF. This scholarship awards $1,500 to an USEF Competing Equestrian member, age 21 and under, who is either in secondary school, undergraduate or graduate school. The individual must perform a minimum of 24 hours of volunteer community service for an organization on The EQUUS Foundation carrots4acause network during the calendar year, logged such hours on The EQUUS Foundation web site, and have a GPA of 3.00 or above.
Youth Sportsman's Award- USEF. The primary goals of the USEF Youth Sportsman’s Award are to identify potential future leaders in the equine industry, and to recognize youth for their achievements.
Youth Convention Scholarship-USDF. Supported by funds raised at the annual USDF Youth Silent Auction, held at the annual convention, these scholarships provide financial support to young dressage enthusiasts to help defray the expenses associated with attending the annual convention. High School Dressage Program College Scholarship- ODS. HS Dressage alumni may apply for college scholarships which are funded by the annual “Dressage for the Ages” spring show. If you would like a complete set of guidelines and an application for this scholarship, team mem- bers should contact their coach or the ODS High School Dres- sage Program Coordinator.
Winnie Heiney Duncan Scholarship Fund- ODS. Developed to honor and support long time and well respected ODS member Winnie Heiney-Duncan, this scholarship seeks to further develop the education of youth members within Oregon Dressage Society. Each year an ODS youth member may receive financial assistance to further their own dressage education. Criteria and applications are available through the ODS Office.
Pony Power Scholarship-ODS. This scholarship opportunity was provided in memory of Bahas Amiable Ali, an amazing pony owned by the Stride family, and is open to riders at the Junior Young Rider Team Champion- ships. Riders turn in an essay describing what makes a pony special. The winner will receive a prize at the Awards ceremony on Saturday evening, plus two clinic rides with Ernst Herrmann, or other instructor of the rider’s choice - not to exceed $120.00. Barbara Page Scholarship- ODS. The scholarship was established to honor her memory and approach to life, by assisting a young rider in furthering his or her education in the art of dressage. The award is made to the high percent winner of Division D, Training level test 2 & 3, at the ODS Junior Young Rider Team Championships because the correctly schooled training level horse is the foundation for everything to come. By recognizing achievement here, we are recognizing a rider who has already committed to the process and is ready to move on. The winner of this scholarship will receive $200.00 to be paid toward clinic rides. Full details are available at the show.

Young Rider International Dream Program The Young Rider International Dream Program, started in 2000, takes four top young American dressage riders to Europe for a two week introduction to European dressage. Applications can be accepted from USDF Young Riders, 16-21 years of age, and 22 year old graduates of the Advanced Young Rider Program, who are riding at Fourth Level or Above.
USDF/USEF Young Rider Graduate Program- A weekend classroom educational seminar, this Program helps Young Rider graduates learn how to make a successful career in the adult equestrian world. The Dressage Foundation provides a $15,000 grant for the Program through the general operating budget and through the Captain John H. "Jack" Fritz Young Professionals Grants within the Carol Lavell Gifted Memorial Fund.
The Heldenberg Training Center Fund in Memory of E.L. Dreitzler- This fund provides financial assistance to North American, non-professional riders to attend the Spanish Riding School's Training Center in Heldenberg.
Captain John H. "Jack" Fritz Young Professionals Grants- With funding provided through the Carol Lavell Gifted Memorial Fund, support for young professionals, The Dressage Foundation is pleased to offer grants of up to $500 each to individual participants to attend the USDF Young Rider Graduate Program.
Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund- Established by Renee Isler, this fund was originally created to help applicants to the "USDF Junior/Young Rider Clinic Series," who are in need of financial assistance in order to attend, if qualified and accepted by USDF. Renee's Fund has authorized up to nine annual grants of up to $800 each, one for each Clinic held. While the Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund continues to meet this need, it has also grown in scope and funding available. Funding is now available for a variety of uses for Young Riders and professionals.
The Trip Harting Fund- Provides funding assistance for a Pony Club rider to attend the United States Dressage Federation ‘L’ Education Program or Instructor Certification Program. Applicants must be current or graduate Pony Club members with a B or A rating.
The Michael Poulin Dressage Fund- Established at The Dressage Foundation by friends and supporters of Olympian Michael Poulin, the purpose of this Fund is to provide funding support for programs and projects that enhance the quality of Dressage in the United States, through any and all of its component disciplines - riding, competing, training, instructing, and judging. Grant applications should contain bold, creative, innovative ideas for the improvement and strengthening of Dressage.
